| Description The historic city of Canterbury has been a favourite with travellers since the time of Chaucer. The four star County Hotel was first licensed as a hotel in 1892. Its history however can be traced further back, thanks to the 12th century cellars and the 15th century public areas. All 74 en-suite bedrooms have been restored to their former glory and include 21st century comforts. The County Hotel enjoys one of the finest locations in the city right in the heart of the pedistrianised High Street and less than 5 minutes walk from the cathedral.
